Planting shrub planting.

Is it too late to plant small evergreens or should I wait until spring? I live in Phoenix North of Towson and we get frost earlier. Zip is 21131.

Below is our page on when to plant trees and shrubs and the planting process. Late-winter through mid-spring (April) and early-fall through mid-fall, are the best times to plant woody ornamentals. You did not mention what you are planting. While broadleaf evergreens are best planted in the spring, some like mountain laurel, boxwood, and hollies can be planted in the early fall if they are watered deeply and regularly (if needed) and mulched.
