How can I keep weeds and grass out of my asparagus bed? I deal with this year in and year out, my bed has been planted for 6 years and weeds continue to be a problem.

Good morning and thanks for your question.

Weeds are a constant problem when growing asparagus. Since asparagus is a perennial, we can't really till the soil. Hand pulling and mulching are the primary methods of keeping them at bay.

I'm including two links here that may give you some direction.

Thanks again for your question and I hope this helps.
