This years tomatoes are not developing fully, staying about plumb size......only a few developing to a full size. Garden is in the Eugene Area.
Lane County Oregon
A lot depends on the variety you plant on how they do here. The cherry types are doing very well, but have tough skins due to the extreme heat. The "standard" tomatoes tend to stop functioning at temps of 90 or more and take a while to get started again. Tomatoes bred for our normally cool nights are struggling. Deep watering and then letting dry some makes for larger fruit as does being sure the plant gets adequate light. Do not prune much foliage because tomatoes fill out and ripen best if the leaves are plentiful and give a bit of shade in the heat of the day.
