Crabgrass

Next spring what is the best product to use to take care off this problem.

Thanks for the question.

Since crab grass is an annual, any crab grass currently in your yard now (fall 2020) will soon die. However before doing so, they will release seeds that will germinate in spring 2021. For this reason, early next spring (late April to early May), before these seeds germinate apply a pre-emergent herbicide (or a fertilizer that also contains a crab grass preventative). Preen is often used as pre-emergent herbicide while Scotts makes a “weed and feed” that also has a pre-emergent herbicide if the bag’s label says that it will control crab grass. Timing will be critical. Things have to be applied before there is significant crab grass germination. See the following for further information:
