Safely remove weeds and muck from a lake shore

We have property on a lake in Mecosta, MI and wondered if there was a safe product or method to control young weeds and eliminate muck in our swimming area. We obviously don’t want to harm any aquatic wildlife or fish. We also use the lake water for irrigating our garden and lawn so that also needs consideration.
