Autumn Blaze is turning red too early

Asked August 23, 2020, 5:08 PM EDT

My maple - specifically Autumn Blaze - seems stressed and is turning red too early. It is dropping leaves, too. The top of the tree is red. This is the first time it has done this. It is about 25 feet tall and is otherwise healthy with no pests and we haven't had a really severe drought in our area. I'm really at a loss. Thank you.

The high temperatures are very hard on trees. They also need an inch of water per week, sometimes more if the weather turns hot abruptly. They don’t have time to adjust their transpiration and conserve water.
