I think there is a wildflower growing in my yard that I do not know. It looks like a picture in a book, and is called snakeroot. Could you suggest a resource? I have not been able to find out anything about it. Is it invasive or native? Diane Sherman Auburn Township Geauga County.

Hello Diane,
Thanks for using Ask a Master Gardener with your plant question. While I can provide you with information on Snakeroot, it may not be accurate without a photo. Would it be possible for you to attach a photo to your question so that I am providing you with correct information?

Here are some sources about White Snakeroot, Ageratina altissima. If this is not your plant, then identification is important. You may search for research based information by adding "site:.edu" to the end of your question.

If this is not what you needed or the plant does not match, please just respond and add a photo if possible and I will see what we can find.
Thanks for your question.
