Acorn squash garden question

Milky cloudy film on leaves. Some plants look like they are dying. Any suggestions please. Judy & Gordon

This sounds like the white substance you are seeing on the leaves is powdery mildew which is common in cucurbits when weather conditions are right. If your squash plants are significantly affected by the powdery mildew, there is little you can do at this time. But the article will provide you with the information about preventative measures for next year. Hope that helps!
