Cherry tree Fungal disease

I have two sick cherry trees. Some kind of fungus. Any ideas what it is and how to treat? Thanks!

The orange fungus is not harming your tree. It is a decomposing fungus that lives on dead wood. Those branches were already dead when it moved in. Prune out dead branches as they appear.

The middle photo shows lichen, also not harmful to the tree. Lichen is a combination of algae and fungus that makes its own food and only uses trees for support. However, if you suddenly start seeing a lot of lichen on a trunk, it can be a warning symptom that the tree is stressed or declining.

If you are starting to see a lot of dead branches, along with the lichen, this tree may have another problem.
