Fungicide in grapes

Asked August 4, 2020, 10:54 PM EDT

With the hot dry weather we are having in the rogue Valley do we really need to apply fungicides on wine grapes? Isn't that more appropriate for the wetter climate of the north Willamette Valley?

Please contact the Southern Oregon Research Station at 541-772-5165. They have a vinology expert available to help you with your vineyard questions. It is true we are not the Willamette Valley, but summer conditions are similar--it's winter that is radically different as their average winter low is usually above freezing, whereas Jackson County has areas that reach into the lowest single digits.
