Cedar Apple Rust

Asked August 4, 2020, 12:31 PM EDT

We garden in the City of Traverse City and have several fruit trees. One of our apple trees is covered in spots and the leaves are all turning yellow. The condition is spreading to younger smaller apple trees and to a dwarf cherry tree. We weren't sure if the infected tree should be removed or not before the other trees and shrubs are affected by the rust. Can you help? We garden organically and have not sprayed the trees.
Thank you.

I'm sorry but there isn't enough information to determine the problem. Please take a clear, detailed photo of a branch or two on the tree and several leaves against a white background, both top and bottom and email them to me.
