Tree root fungus

Asked August 1, 2020, 7:49 PM EDT

We have some fungus growing under our conifers in our yard and aren't sure whether we should be concerned for the trees. Attached are pics of the fungus and one of the trees (since I don't know exactly what kind of trees they are). The trees have had the new needles on the ends of their branches die off some, but are otherwise fine. Thanks!

The tree looks like it is an Atlas or Deodor Cedar. It looks very healthy and the fungus growing in the soil is not impacting it's health. If you see fungus growing on the trunk, you'd have reason for concern.

Enjoy.
