Hello,
Thank you for contacting "Ask an Expert."
It looks like the blue spruce may have needlecast.

The good news is that you may have caught it early enough to treat it. One to two applications of fungicide in the spring as the new growth elongates should protect the new growth from infection. More specific instructions as well as active ingredient information may be found by visiting the link provided. As always, please read and follow label directions when using a fungicide.
Please let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thank you!

Dear Julie,

Thank you for your response. Is it too late this season to apply the product now?
Cheers,

Sybil

It is too late. The fungicide protects the new growth from becoming infected. Maybe do some research on the internet and prepare for next spring?

Thank you,
Julie
