African milk tree problem
I noticed this separation in a number of the trunks in my African milk tree. I can’t figure out if this is natural or a problem. This occurred in the last week. Thank you for assisting.

There two main possibilities I can find from my research on African Milk Tree. One could be sun damage from too much direct intense light in the summer months and the other is a possible fungus, I would recommend moving it from the current location and monitor the plant. I can not be certain on fungus, so I recommend looking to environmental first. If you see it continue to spread you could consider a fungicide.
