What are these acorn looking things

These odd shaped things grow every year in my garden. I have no idea what they are? I live off Bull Mt RD in Tigard.

The images reveal crown gall on the stems of euonymus. This is a bacterial infection that gradually blocks circulation in the affected stem and will eventually kill the shrub.

The only available treatment is to cut off the galls as they appear. Unfortunately, it looks as if this shrub is basically dead. Consider removing the shrub then, bagging it and put the debris in the trash..
