What kind of frog?
Thank you for your question. The animal in your photo is one of the Texas toad species in the genus Anaxyrus. They used to be classified in the genus Bufo.
Toads can be very difficult to identify to the species level, because they have so much variability in their coloration, and you usually have to be able to have them in hand to inspect for distinguishing characteristics. I was hoping that there might be just one species in your area, but that's not the case. Possible species are:
Great Plains Toad, Anaxyrus (Bufo) cognatus
Texas Toad, Anaxyrus (Bufo) speciosus
Woodhouse's Toad, Anaxyrus (Bufo) woodhousii
