Frozen pecans
I have pecans in the shell that have been stored in the freezer of my refrigerator for at least 10 years. Are they still safe to eat?

I thank you for your question.
From what I've read, for quality and safety, frozen storage for up to 2 years is recommended by several academic references and the US Pecan Grower Council.
I've listed the websites for your own reference.
1. OSU Extension:https://extension.oregonstate.edu/sites/default/files/documents/12281/harvesting-handling-storing-nuts.pdf
2. US Pecan Grower Council: https://uspecans.org/pecan-handling-storage/
