where are the butterflies?
Seems to be many fewer caterpillars and butterflies this year than last year. Did the cold nights in May limit the population this year or are they just going to appear later?

The seeming lack of butterflies is a perennial question for us in early to mid-July.
They should be here soon, it is just a bit early yet. Their population could also be held up a bit due to our rainy, cool extended spring.
Hang on, they should be around within the next few weeks.
