Honeycrisp apples have spots

Asked July 10, 2020, 7:59 PM EDT

Our honeycrisp apple tree is 6 years old and it has fruits for the first time. They are small at the present and I noticed some spots on the apples. Is there is a way to cure it?

Two things can cause these spots. One is apple scab, caused by a fungus. You spray for this. Second is apple maggot. You spray for this as well with a pesticide, and treat the orchard to prevent infestation. Consult:
