Gray insect on anemones

Can you please help me identify this insect and advise me on how to get rid of it?

Hello,

It looks like a blister beetle--likely the clematis blister beetle. They are increasing in their populations now, but fortunately are short lived. You can knock them into a bucket of soapy water--be sure to wear gloves as they do have a chemical that can cause skin irritation. There are also insecticides that you can use, but should only be done if you're seeing significant damage to your plants.
