Dahlias in Flowerbed - What’s Eating the Leaves?

Asked July 3, 2020, 6:54 PM EDT

Hello, I am hoping to identify the culprit behind these holes in my Dahlia leaves. Any help with identification, as well as tips for pest removal / prevention would be very appreciated! Thank you, SL

You could treat your dahlias with an insecticidal soap. The pests could be slugs, earwigs or grasshoppers. If you go out after dark and shine a flashlight on the dahlias you may see earwigs. If you do those are the pests. Slugs also eat after dark.
