Help Identifying Plant Growing Along Coal Creek - Small White Flowers

Asked July 2, 2020, 7:01 PM EDT

Hello, I've been trying to educate myself about dangerous plants in CO. I'm often taking my kids along paths and streams. There is one abundant flowering plant with small white flowers. It's definitely not poison hemlock and I very much doubt it's water hemlock but would like to know what it is and if it's dangerous. It is quite abundant. I've also seen this exact plant along the South Platte at Pearson Park. Any help would be appreciated and I will try to attach photos.

Hello, I am unable to identify this plant with 100% confidence however; I would suggest that it is Hoary Cress. Comparing your specimen to identified weeds would help you determine similarities and difference. The link below should provide the information you requested. https://plants.sc.egov.usda.gov/java/
