Dragonflies

Asked June 29, 2020, 4:55 PM EDT

I live in the Ham Lake area in Anoka county and have notice several dragonflies this year that only have 3 wings instead of there usual four. Could this be because of spraying for mosquitoes earlier this year or is it caused other means. Never seen it like this in the 28 years we’ve lived here. Curious!

Genetic mutations can be caused by many things, natural and man-made. It would be a leap to say these mutations are caused by mosquito control. Is this the first year there has been spraying for mosquitoes?
