Flower Identification

Asked June 26, 2020, 3:28 PM EDT

A friend has these beautiful little plants but can't remember what they are. They line her driveway and come up every year. Thanks!

Thank you for your question. Are you able to take a photo closer to the plant, so we can see (and count) the number of petals on the flowers, and see the shape and distribution of the leaves along the stems/vines? Thanks!

I hope this helps.

Thank you!

Thank you! I am sorry for the delay. We were vacationing over the holiday with no wifi, so using the Internet is challenging, at best. Here is your friend's plant: http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/PlantFinder/PlantFinderDetails.aspx?taxonid=250888

Hope this is helpful.

No problem, hope it was fun!
Thanks, now to find some of this in the Portland area.
Yes, that was helpful!

Perhaps you could convince your neighbor to share some. They can be propagated by division in early spring, or by softwood cuttings of unflowered shoots from late spring to midsummer. Still time! Good luck!
