Invasive Spiderwort

Asked June 11, 2020, 11:34 PM EDT

My beds are being taken over. The only thing I've found that kills it is Crossbow. I try and keep my yard bird and bee friendly. Is there a better alternative ?

If you have aggressive weeds in your beds, using herbicides like Crossbow is a good choice to get rid of them.

Birds and bees aren't attracted to the plant you are trying to kill, so the risk to them is very low. If you do see insects in the area, spray in the morning or evening when insects are less active.

Use a piece of plastic or cardboard as a shield to protect the plants you want to keep as you are spraying.

Good luck.
