Couscous like large egg mass on wood
I have a strange egg mass on a piece of firewood. It is bigger than my hand, stuck on a vertical surface and mostly looks exactly like couscous. Is this a concern, do you know what it is? I can send pictures.

This mass isn’t cause for concern. It is a fungus or possibly a slime mold. Here is some information about slime molds, and photos of the types, including scrambled egg type. https://plantclinic.tamu.edu/factsheets/slime-mold/
