Cucumber/squash/watermelon

A small black with green lined bug ran rampant through some of my vegetable plants. I was able to get rid of them, but the leaves took a beating with holes taking over the foliage. New leaves are starting to develop. My Question: Can I cut of the damaged leaves or should I just leave them alone?

You do not have to remove leaves that suffered feeding damage. In addition to feeding on the leaves, striped and spotted cucumber beetles can spread bacterial wilt disease:
