Disease in garden

Asked June 3, 2020, 7:59 AM EDT

Hello, I have had this disease or pest in my garden for a couple years. This year isn't as bad as wetter years but time to ask you about it. I've attached two pictures. Black spots have begun on my mint too. Thank you La Atwater

This is not a disease but damage from four-lined plant bugs. The good news is that there is only one generation a year and they are not around for too long. Plants tend to grow out of the damage. You can choose to prune off the damaged leaves if you like.

Wow what a relief! One year they decimated the plant. It has come back but the bugs are ever present.
Thank you!
