Raising Chickens & Turkeys together

Is there a problem raising chickens and turkeys together. I got my chicks thru the mail from tractor supply and my turkeys from Pickford Feed. All birds are healthy. I live in Chippewa County, What advised can you give me? Thanks Kendra

Yes, chickens and turkeys should not be raised together. Chickens can carry the parasite without showing any signs. The parasite is then passed onto the turkeys via fecal contamination.
