Irises Keep Falling Down

Asked May 30, 2020, 11:14 AM EDT

I have four large bunches of irises planted on the eastern side of my house. They are very large, and most of them droop. They appear healthy and strong otherwise. How can I stop them from drooping or falling down? About 80% appear to have this problem. Thank you.

There are a few types of iris, here is some general information. Have you divided your iris? That is often a good place to start. I had one that was a little floppy and I just used a garden stake to put in front of the flower stalk. I've also included a resource about supporting plants in your garden.
