How far from the house should a Emerald Green tree be planted?

Howdy!
If you are talking about the 'Emerald Green' Arborvitae, this upright conifer tree has a mature diameter of 4 feet. But further advice would suggest...
1. Conifers need airflow, so for that reason I would suggest a minimum of 8 feet from the home to allow for airflow behind the plant.
2. Conifers need drainage. So either a well drained soil type or raised up and including sufficient drainage in the area.
Further, I would not suggest planting large shrubs and trees until October/November and up to about March 1. Spring and summer plantings have a real hard time establishing.
Good gardening. Take care out there,
