Thanks for reaching out. Quick question — where is the mold? Inside the home or Outside in a garden? Just need a little more info. Also, feel free to attach a photo if you are able.

Hello and thank you for using MSU Extension eXtension for your mold and mildew question. Using a bleach solution of ¼ cup of bleach, vinegar or borax of a gallon of water is sufficient for removing mold and mildew. Wear a protective gear, mask, goggles, and gloves when working in those areas. Air dry. Using borax solution after you remove the mold will help prevent new growth.

Removing the source of moisture is important in controlling mold in the home. Remove and replace all furnace and air filters with the type that filter out mold spores. Fix leaking roofs, pipes and other places moisture builds.

Do not mix bleach, with other products other than detergent. Here are a couple of websites that offer more information: https://www.cdc.gov/mold/cleanup.htm
