Soldier beetle or ?

Is this bug a soldier beetle or a bad bug? I have several similar but green and smoother in appearance.

Thank you for the image. The insect is a rough stink bug, a Brochymena species, a beneficial, native insect.

To differentiate it from the brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys or BMSB), a very serious pest and, in the fall, a nuisance, look at the "shoulders."

Rough stink bug: Has rough "shoulders;" antennae are a uniform color; and its underside is brown. See "Rough Stink

BMSB: Has smooth "shoulders;" antennae are banded (ringed) with white; and its underside is a dingy gray. See "Stop BMSB" - https://www.stopbmsb.org/
