Ginkgo leaves not growing and look brown

Asked May 21, 2020, 5:32 PM EDT

Hello I have 6 Ginkgo trees which look like leaves are burned.. or with a disease.. the leaves are very small you can almost not see them.. most are brown and some brown with a tiny part green. Also leaves are in most trees very small like they didn’t grow .. is this treatable? Is this the effect of a freeze? Trees the last years had been in perfect condition.. they are in a sunny location with enough water. Thanks much

You are correct-- this is caused from one or more freeze events. The tree may look space for a while, but later in the summer, it will push out new leaves. Hopefully you won't even notice it later on.

Thank you so much for the prompt response.
