Fig tree in a pot

Asked May 18, 2020, 3:11 PM EDT

I have a fig tree in a pot that I started 1 year ago. It began leafing out on a few branches in February and has one fig on it. It needs to be transplanted into a larger pot and I am wondering if it is ok to transplant it with the fruit on it or will I lose the fruit. Several of the branches have not yet broken dormancy. Thank you.

Thank you for writing.
Your fig seems happy. I do not know why you think it needs to be repotted. This list might help https://fiddleleaffigplant.com/when-to-repot-a-fiddle-leaf-fig-and-when-to-not/
Transplant shock could cause the tree to lose fruit.
