Crop rotation

While I understand the basics of crop rotation, I'm not sure how to do this with perennials. Should they be dug up and moved each year? Thanks

You do not need to do crop rotation with perennials. You only need to do it with annual food plants and really only those that are either heavy feeders or prone to diseases.
