Soil mixture for new raised bed vegetable garden

We just built two 5’x20’x 3’ high raised bed containers. We’ve just filled both half way with clean fill dirt and want to top them off with 15” of good soil for growing a mix of vegetables. Can you please tell us what to mix with top soil (peat, manure, sand, ???) and what ratios?

Thank you for your question. A 50/50 mix of top soil and compost would a good mix. Manure that is well composted (compost) is good, raw manure is not. Check out the following links for additional information:
