Pink dogwood trouble

Asked May 8, 2020, 3:29 PM EDT

I'm wondering what's wrong with my pink dogwood (I believe the variety is called "Cherokee Chief"). Can you help?

Thank you for your question. The leaves appear to have leaf scorch as described here: https://pnwhandbooks.org/plantdisease/host-disease/dogwood-cornus-spp-leaf-scorch We have had a vert dry spring, and they are very sensitive to too much and too little water. Unfortunately, when they show indications of this stress, it often makes them more susceptible to other diseases. So, watering it well and consistently may help. Good luck!
