How to treat grub worms

Asked May 1, 2020, 10:56 AM EDT

I think part of my front yard was plagued by grub worms last summer (2019). I did not treat them. As my lawn, which usually looks quite healthy, is greening up this spring...it looks pretty rough...many bare patches, etc. Should I treat for grubs now or should I just re-seed or...what? Please advise. Thank you.

You can treat for grubs in the spring, but it is more effective in mid-July. Here is a good article from Extension: https://extension.umn.edu/yard-and-garden-insects/japanese-beetle. Note the two topics Preventative and Curative at the end of the article.

Sorry for the slow response, we have had troubles with the AaE website connectivity.
