squash vegetable

Asked April 26, 2020, 8:42 PM EDT

Every year my squash plants die after they start producing. Previously you mentioned to me that a worm finds its way in the stem and that I should remove it. But by that time its too late and the plant dies. How can I prevent this from happening?

You may be referring to the squash vine borer. Here is our profile on this pest and ways to prevent/control.
