Pink Dogwoods

Around my neighborhood (Clarksburg, MD) the pink dogwoods are looking more red than pink this year. Why? What is causing the color difference?

Hi - It's an interesting question! Differences in flower color from year to year are attributed to environmental factors such temperature, soil moisture, soil nutrients and pH, etc. It is typically the result of a combination of factors, not one single cause.
