Hi, Seeds are hard to come by this year. My sister in upstate New York (zone 5B) has extra. Will her seeds be viable down here in Maryland (zone 7A)? Thanks,

Montgomery County Maryland

If your sister has extra seeds to share you can absolutely get them started here, though the timing to do so may be different. The seed packets can tell you when it's best to plant.
How well the plant may do can depend on weather. For instance, she may be able to grow a cool season vine like sweet pea flowers, while our hot, humid weather makes them hard to grow well for long here.
