This plant with white flowers is growing in my garden Is native to Maryland? Is it a good pollinator? I am wondering whether to let it grow or pull it up Thanks! Ruth

This is a very invasive plant called garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata). The first year it just grows low leaves and in the second year it grows tall and blooms with white flowers. It spreads very effectively by seeds. Pull out all that you see and dispose of them in the trash.

You will find details about garlic mustard on our website, https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/topics/garlic-mustard and in our

I am glad I asked! I will pull it up today.
