Creeping Charlie

Asked April 6, 2020, 7:22 PM EDT

The person who takes care of my lawn is anxious to spray for Creeping Charlie. I read that it should not be done in the spring until the plant flowers. My question is, "This person has the proper poison left over from last year. Is it still good? I've had other sprays that seem to lose their potency over the winter.

If the herbicide was stored properly it should be efficacious. The label is the law with pesticides/herbicides if there is an expiration date on the label it should be disposed of properly and not used if it is expired.

Thank you so much for your time and advice. It was a question that has come up many times.
