Pruning a dwarf Alberta spruce

Can your prune evergreen shrubs. I am pretty sure that this is a dwarf Alberta spruce. I had gotten quite large and I would like to trim it. Is it possible to transplant it? Thank you

That is an usually good looking large specimen. They often have areas that brown out as they get that large.
Most evergreens can't be pruned into brown wood because they cannot grow back from there, so you see the problem with trying to prune one of these. There just isn't much foliage that can be removed.
It is not likely a tree this size could be dug and moved with success either.

It may be time to either put up with it or remove it and start over.
