Advice on locust tree orange growth in Grand Junction
We have 4 mature locust trees on our property and several of them have a yellow/orange growth on them that I don't remember being there last year. I've attached photos. Please let me know if this is serious or if there is a solution we can implement.
Mesa County Colorado
This is some kind of moss or lichen. Will not hurt the tree. Can represent a tree that is growing slow or under stress thou. I noticed these old trees are growing near a driveway. This may sound crazy, but in times of drought, water the gravel area so the roots underneath get moisture. Once a month should be enough. https://cmg.extension.colostate.edu/Gardennotes/657.pdf
