Most plants go through growth cycles and rest periods, so it is not unusual for plants to rest after a growth spurt. As a tropical plant make sure your Elephant Ears (Colocasia) is in bright but not direct light, the temperatures should be consistent and warm but not hot (high 60s, low 70s) and the humidity kept quite high (place the pot on a tray filled with pebbles and keep the tray full of water and/or mist the plant a few times a day. As the plant can get quite large, make sure it is growing in a good-sized pot and is not showing roots out the bottom (indicating it is becoming root bound).
Good luck.
