Plant ID, found in yard

Asked March 21, 2020, 11:40 AM EDT

I am trying to identify a plant that grows well in my once wooded yard just North of Corvallis. It may well be an escaped garden plant but it likes the conditions and so I'd like to keep some of them around. But I'd like to know what it is. It seems to like the shady, damp, clay soil on the North side of a hill. It's an evergreen with small flowers as you can see in the pictures taken yesterday (March 2020). I have more photos if you want to see something different. Thanks, hope you are all staying safe and well. Don Reid

Thank you for including the image as it reveals you have the invasive spurge laurel, Daphne laureola, at your place. Remove them and discard them in the trash or burn pile.
