Fertilization of Phantom Hydrangea
I have read several different articles. Could you suggest what fertilizer to use and when?
Anne Arundel County Maryland
Most garden plants don't need fertilizer routinely, if at all. If you have noticed signs of deficiency, and the soil conditions are correct (acidic for hydrangeas, and well-draining), then any brand formulated for acid-loving plants or a general slow-release, well-balanced (similar numbers among the top three nutrients) product should be fine.
