Plant suggestions

Asked March 5, 2020, 7:33 AM EST

My daughter's family loves to spend time on their front porch but the mosquitoes get really bad when it gets warm. I have Googled plants that ward off mosquitoes but I would like to give her a potted plant of a few varieties but don't know which ones can be planted together. Can you suggest a few, maybe three, that can be planted together? Thank you.

Unfortunately, research doesn't support that there are plants that do a good job of repelling mosquitoes.
That doesn' mean your daughter can't continue to enjoy her porch though. Personal protection and fans, combined with habitat adjustment (dumping or treating areas of standing water) is the way to go.

You could gift her with a lovely potted plant/flowers, along with the information.
